Here you can set your personal backup preferences. You can choose the backup location, secure your backup via password and compress the backup. Depending on your needs, one media may be better than the others. The size of your back up folder, which media the computer can read and write to, and the need for portability are all factors in deciding which media will be the best.

Here you can select to compress your backup and to set a password.

1.

Here you can select to protect your backup with a password. If you want a safe backup you need a safe password. The first step is to choose a password that cannot be guessed easily by someone else. This means you should avoid all passwords like pass, password, genius, hacker, any common Christian names or other obvious words, particularly words that people are likely to associate with you. For example, if you’re known for your beautiful mane of red hair it would be a bad idea to use redhead as your password. You get the general idea. These are the first things anyone who wants to hack your data will try out and they provide very little real protection! By clicking on Backup > you can see the following dialog where you can type-in your password.
